Sugar Land Town Square Renovation

Planned Community Developers has completed a renovation of the plaza that brings a shade canopy, picnic tables, fun furniture, free Wi-Fi, and other improvements to the mixed-use development.

The redevelopment of the plaza is part of an ongoing partnership with the city of Sugar Land, TX, and was the first improvements to the town square since 2004.

Planned Community Developers manages and leases the 1.4 million-square-foot Sugar Land Town Square, which encompasses office space, retail and restaurants, mid-rise residential condos, a Marriott hotel and conference center and Sugar Land City Hall.

“We are excited to introduce the community to the new-look plaza as a place where the community can come together – where children play, families relax, and friends take fitness classes together.”

– Wende Buckley, Managing Director

Improvements to the 1.4-acre plaza at the mixed-use development at Texas 6 and U.S. 59 include a 1,300-square-foot elevated deck, a 1,000-square-foot shade canopy, LED lighting, cushioned artificial turf and music streamed throughout the deck area. Sugar Land has a strong sense of community spirit, and we wanted the plaza, which is located at the heart of the square, to reflect that lifestyle.
