PCD’s Community-Inspired Mission in Action – Behind the Badge Charities

At PCD, we believe in the power of community and our responsibility to uplift those who serve and protect us. That’s why we are honored, once again, to be a Gold Sponsor for Behind the Badge Charities, an organization dedicated to supporting Fort Bend County’s first responders and their families in times of need.

Behind the Badge Charities was founded in 2011 after the tragic death of Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office Deputy John “J.D.” Norsworthy, who died on January 4, 2011, after an automobile accident. In his memory, this organization has provided critical financial assistance to first responders facing unforeseen hardships and college scholarships to the children of those who have served.

This cause holds special meaning for PCD. John Norsworthy, J.D.’s father, serves on the Board of Directors and as the fundraising chair for Behind the Badge Charities. Donna Norsworthy, J.D.’s mother, has been a valued member of the PCD team since October 2011. Supporting an initiative so profoundly connected to our team is a privilege and a responsibility we take to heart.

“Giving back is at the heart of everything we do at PCD. Supporting Behind the Badge Charities is especially meaningful to us—not only because we value our first responders but because it honors the legacy of J.D. Norsworthy. We are proud to stand with Donna and her family, and to help make a difference for those who serve and protect our community,” said Wende Buckley, Chief Operating Officer and Managing Partner at PCD.

Through partnerships like this, PCD remains committed to strengthening relationships, building trust and creating lasting change. PCD is grateful for the work being done by Behind the Badge Charities to support the heroes who protect and serve our community.
